Most dangerous US cities

According to a new report by Forbes, the Detroit metro area is the most dangerous city in which to live, with a staggering 1,220 violent crimes per year per 100,000 residents, meaning that over 1.2% of residents are the victim of a violent crime on average. Detroit barely squeeked ahead of Memphis, which takes the number two spot at 1,218. Miami takes a slightly more distant third with 998.

Why do I bring this up? Because I live in Metro Detroit, of course! Also because I have immediate family in the Memphis area (brother) and the Miami area (sister-in-law) so to you I say: better luck next time, chumps! We won!

Errr... maybe that's not something we want to win after all.
